.//*\\. On Saturday 29th May 2010, a new Guinness World Record was set at the Eiffel Tower in Paris for the Highest Jump onto a Ramp (quarter pipe) by Taïg Khris, French athlete several times champion in the rollerblades category. On this occasion,Guinness World Records adjudicators Rob Molloy and Justine Bourdariat have come all the way from London to verify the record attempt and hand Taïg Khris with an official Guinness World Records certificate should the record be broken.

.//*\\. London – May 28th, 2010 Live from the iPad queue at the Apple Store on Regent Street, the latest Guinness World Record Breaker can be announced today for the fastest time to type the alphabet on a brand new iPad. Joseph Grech, who is 28 and originally from Malta, was queuing from 3am before making his record attempt and setting a new global standard with an astonishing speed of 6.61 seconds for his fingers to go from A to Z.

.//*\\.The following 2 spectacular record attempts took place on 25 May, 2010. The attempts had been organised as part of the GWR Live! Roadshow in Turkey at Forum Bornova, in Izmir, Turkey. Mr. Ilker Çevik, also known as Yoma Adam (Hawser Man, a maritime term meaning “knot”) broke two very interesting records.Fastest time to pass through a toilet seat 3 times”  According to the Guinness World Records rules, the toilet seat must have a maximum diameter of 22 cm and a length of 30 cm.

The toilet seat measured had a diameter of 22 cm and its lenght was 29.5 cm. The owner of this record was Mr. Daniel Browning Smith. He broke the record in Madrid, Spain, in 2009. His timing was 1 minute 21 seconds. Ilker Cevik broket his record in 28.14 seconds.

Mr. Cevik had to pass at least 10 times through a metal hoop in order to set the record.He only managed 6 passes in his first try, because of bad luck. Authority gave him a second chance and this time he managed to pass exactly 10 times and became the owner of this record.

.//*\\.On 10 April 2010, Volkswagen do Brasil achieved the record for the largest car mosaic in Sao Paulo, Brazil.The record attempt took place during Gol Fest, an event celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Volkswagen Gol.More than 25,000 people visited the Sambodromo of Sao Paulo on Saturday 10 April to be a part of the celebrations. Volkswagen prepared a big celebration for owners, customers, collectors, and Gol fans from around the country… and keeping in mind that the Gol has been a leader in its sector for 23 years in Brazil that means a lot of people!The 44 historic different versions of the Gol were on display, along with other attractions and music performances and even three new Gol units were raffled.However, the main event of the festival was about to come: owners of the Volkswagen Gol gathered their vehicles with other Volskwagen cars to create a mosaic displaying the Gol logo. As the largest car mosaic to the date used 413 cars and this mosaic displayed 460 cars, Volskwagen of Brazil and the car owners achieved a place in record history with the new Guinness World Records record for the largest car mosaic.

गिनीज़ बुक में लिखा है कि संसार में इतना बड़ा महिलाओं द्वारा आयोजित कोई दूसरा धार्मिक अनुष्ठान नहीं है जिसमे लाखों महिलाई जाति, धर्म, ऊँच नीच के भेदभाव को भुलाकर दूर दूर से चलकर  थिरुवनंथपुरम के प्राचीन आट्टूकल भगवति (देवी) मंदिर के प्रांगण में बिना किसी बुलावे या निमंत्रण के  एकत्रित होती हैं. यहाँ इस मंदिर में प्रति वर्ष फ़रवरी मार्च के महीने में दस दिनों का उत्सव होता है. उत्सव भरणी /कृत्तिका नक्षत्र के दिन प्रारंभ होता है. नौवां दिन विशेष महत्त्व का रहता है जब सभी महिलाएं देवी के लिए नैवेद्य के रूप में वहीँ चूल्हे जलाकर खीर पकाती हैं. इसलिए इस ख़ास अनुष्ठान का नाम है “पोंगाला” जिसका शाब्दिक अर्थ होता है उफनने तक उबालन. इस तरह के पोंगाला का प्रचलन तमिलनाडु में भी कई जगह है परन्तु जो बात आट्टूकल में है वह अन्यत्र नहीं.  कल्पना कीजिये लाखों चूल्हे और हर चूल्हे पर एक या दो महिलाएं. कहा जाता है कि पिछली बार यह संख्या १५ लाख थी. जहाँ देखो वहां चूल्हा, सड़क के दोनों और, स्थानीय निवासियों के घरों के कम्पौंड, दफ्तरों के बाहर या कहें जहाँ जगह मिली वहीँ. लगभग मंदिर के ५ किलोमीटर की परिधि में यत्र तत्र. परन्तु कतारबद्ध. यह त्यौहार केवल महिलाओं के लिए है और पुरुष इसमें भाग नहीं ले सकते. मूलतः यह एक आदिम (अवैदिक) परंपरा रही है और समाज के निम्न वर्ग ही इसमें भाग लिया करते थे. परन्तु अब स्थितियां बदल गयी है. अब तो सभी वर्ण के और यहाँ तक मलयालम फिल्म उद्योग से जुडी सभी तारिकाएँ यहाँ देखी जा सकती हैं. इसलिए इस पोंगाला को महिलाओं की शबरीमला कहा जाता है.

Keisha and Wilco van Kleef-Bolton, the world’s tallest married couple, with a combined height of 404.7 cm (13 ft 3.3 in), were at Apple's Regent Street store to pick up their iPads. They feature in the Guinness World Records.

CBS television series 'The Bold and The Beautiful' was recognized on May 18th 2010 in Los Angeles, California, USA for being the TV daytime soap with the largest audience ever, with a worldwide viewership of 24.5 million across five different continents.

The new Tallest Living American Man is Igor Vovkovinskiy (USA) measuring 7 ft 8.33 in (2.34 m). His record-breaking height was confirmed on NBC's 'The Dr. Oz Show' in New York, USA on May 18th 2010.
